E-CIGS: A Better Smoking Cessation
The e-cigs IS a more effective smoking cessation over the patch, nicotine gum or sprays. A study of 900 smokers by the National Healthcare System for England (NHS) concluded that 18 percent were able to successfully quit smoking through the use of e-cigarettes while only 10 percent were able to quit using other cessation products. Although this news strengthens the argument for e-cig use, doctors in the U.S. want more proof of the efficacy for the long term use of nicotine before widely recommending its use. Surprising to me, the known harm reduction from carcinogens and heart disease isn't enough? Maybe smokers will have more sense than doctors to quit smoking and switch to vaping if only to lessen health risks over long term cigarette use.
